A"Small-Town Home-Advantage"
Kinston has a rare "small-town home-advantage". It's one of the Nation's Best Kept Secrets. Only 30 Minutes from the Crystal Coast and within a one-hour interstate drive to Raleigh, the State Capital.
We have no rush hour traffic, and plenty of things to do here. A great place to live if you work in Goldsboro, Greenville, New Bern or Jacksonville. We are right in the hub of these. Just 30 miles or so to any of these locations!

Kinston was established in 1762. Remember America started in East North Carolina. There are many historical events here every year.
Kinston was originally named Kingston, named for King George III of England, but the name was changed in 1784 following the Revolutionary War. Not only was Kinston here before the Revolutionary War but was a major battlefield of the Civil War giving it a wealth of over two hundred years American history. More..
